KrabbeConnect works to help families with the challenges of Krabbe disease by advancing research, providing family support, enhancing education, and raising awareness. KrabbeConnect believes in working together quickly to help assure a better life for Krabbe disease patients yet, we cannot continue our work without your help! |Registration||Register between May 15th, 2021-June 17th, 2021 to guarantee the arrival of your t-shirt by July 15th. Registration will be available after June 17th, but your race t-shirt will be delayed. Click the "R" icon below to register.|
|Race Items Included||Access to the My Virtual Mission application for your mobile device, race t-shirt, 2 #curekrabbe bracelets, milestone race postcards, and several opportunities to win prizes throughout the race.|
|Race Start Date||July 15th, 2021 virtually in San Pedro Island, Texas|
|Race End Date||August 15th, 2021-or sooner. Race ends virtually in Providence, Rhode Island, visiting a Krabbe disease family.|
|Length of Race||4,451 miles-remember, this is a group challenge. The more participants, the quicker we get to the finish line.|
How It Works
Go out and do your regular, distance-based exercise such as walking, running, cycling, going on the treadmill, swimming laps at the pool or whatever type of exercise you are into.
Enter the distance you just completed into your mission page via either the website or the My Virtual Mission smart phone app and you will see the #curekrabbe group mission path update towards the finish line. Don’t forget to check out your virtual surroundings on Google Street View!

Remember, we are collecting exercising and logging miles as a group. Each mile a participant completes contributes to reaching the next milestone. For every milestone below we reach, a postcard will be emailed out with some fun insights and information. A Facebook live raffle will take place upon reaching each of the 10 milestones listed below. Rewards and Incentives
For every milestone reached we will conduct a Facebook Live drawing for all registered participants. Prizes will include any of the following, gift cards, KrabbeConnect swag, 2 tickets to the 2021 “A Million Dreams” gala, and a handmade cutting board. 2 participant names will be drawn during each milestone reached. That means each participant has a chance to win 1 of 20 prizes given throughout the race!

When we cross the finish line together each participant will receive a unique #curekrabbe race decal.

All sponsors have the chance to add their company’s logo to this t-shirt. Email firstname.lastname@example.org for sponsorship details. Deadline for company logos to be added to race t-shirt is Thursday, June 17th, 2021. All company logos need to be in PNG or JPEG format and be white. This will ensure high quality printing on the race t-shirt.
